You Wanted the Best, You Got the Best!

Thirty years ago, my cousin and I saw Kiss live at Kemper Arena when the Alive Worldwide Reunion Tour arrived in Kansas City. The night is especially famous in Rock history because it featured Alice in Chains as the opening act—marking their final live concert performance with the late Layne Staley.

AIC opened the show with this song from their 1995 album.

Yeah, we’re here to take our friend Jam here to the big, satanic KISS concert, if that’s okay with you.

Our seats were in the upper bowl, not far from where the following videos appeared to have been filmed. All in all, it was a memorable show and experience!

Double Platinum (1978) by Kiss was the first album my friend and Toxic A$$ets bandmate Jeff Lahr ever purchased. He played drums along to that vinyl record until it literally wore out.
