Toys in the Attic turns 50!

Celebrating the legendary album’s 50th Anniversary…

Aerosmith’s third album was released on April 8, 1975.

This is the cover of the album “Toys in the Attic” by Aeromith.

The album is Aerosmith's most commercially successful studio LP in the United States, with nine million copies sold. Its first single, "Sweet Emotion", was released on May 19, 1975 and the original version of "Walk This Way" followed on August 28 in the same year. In 2003, the album was ranked No. 228 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The album's title track and their collaboration with Run-DMC on a cover version of "Walk This Way" are included on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame list of the "500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll".

The groundbreaking collaboration from 1986.

I’ve heard this band on the radio since I was a kid. Aerosmith is one of my favorite Rock bands. I was fortunate to see them live in 1994, during my Summer at Sandstone. That year, the band once again found itself at the center of the music universe thanks to a great studio album (“Get a Grip”), some great videos, and a certain young lady…

Alicia was our "it girl"…

In retrospect, experiencing numerous Rock concerts as a teenager and young adult, along with working on construction sites with fellas 12-to-15 years older than me, helped me rediscover some really great music and riffs from days gone by, especially that of the muscle car-driven mid-‘70s.
