Metal Memories: There was quite the kerfuffle at my tiny Catholic school when someone taped a “Bark at the Moon” poster over the school’s Sacred Heart of Jesus painting in the lobby; rock 'n roll rebels! Looking back, Heavy Metal and Catholic school were like oil and water, or perhaps, fire and water…

B.A.T.M. was the first Ozzy album to feature legendary guitarist Jake E. Lee. Jake is one of my favorite lead guitarists. His talent and prowess were on display throughout all of B.A.T.M. and Ozzy’s next album, “The Ultimate Sin”.

Fun fact: Dana Strum, bassist and co-founder of Slaughter, introduced the legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads to Ozzy Osbourne and later brought Jake E. Lee to Ozzy's solo band following Rhoads' death (and the departure of interim guitarist Brad Gillis). Thank you Dana!
